【看中国记者韩瑞报导】因淋巴癌休养的主持人罗京北京时间今晨6点40去世，死于淋巴癌扩散。
罗京生于1961年，出生于北京，祖籍重庆，中共中央电视台《新闻联播》节目的主播之一，新闻编辑部副科长，中共十七大代表。
今年4月1日凌晨，有消息说罗京去世，后被”辟谣”说是愚人节的假新闻，并说 罗京身体状况良好。赵忠祥还发去祝福。
早在去年9月，就有传言”罗京得了癌症！””罗京穿着大背心，下穿没膝裤衩，出去检查化验时总低着头，不面对人，面对墙，像怕被别人看到，但他的那张‘国脸’还是很容易被人认出。”
在2008年8月6日，罗京还作为火炬手参加了传递，状态被描述为”不错”。仅仅相隔一个月，就患病了？
2008 年8月底，有人在北京肿瘤医院化疗病房见到中央电视台新闻联播主持人、47岁的罗京。罗京住在8楼的高级单间病房，每天 600元房费，屋子里有冰箱彩电沙发，共有8个单间，所住的都是癌症病人。 8楼小护士们有时还叽叽喳喳讨论罗京的病情，过往的家属和住其它单间的病人都 能听到他的名字。” 当时不少人都持怀疑的态度，直言消息不可靠；也有人表示并非空穴来风，”罗京外形变化好大呀，脸色特别难看，应该是生病了。”
之后，迫于舆论压力，罗京开口承认自己患病，并说 “没你们想象的那么严重，我不需要做手术什么的，只需要一般用药、输液和静养就好。”不过是否身患癌症，罗京始终没有正面回答，”我的病需要化疗，估计要两个疗程，这段时间大家是不会在电视上看到我的，我暂时处于休息状态，不过这个病不是危及生命的重病，所以一旦转好，我将重返荧屏，回到《新闻联播》，继续为大家播报新闻。”
罗京形象冷酷，面无表情，常年播报党八股式的套路”新闻”。
巧合的是，罗京死于6月5日，20年前89年”六四”时，央视新闻联播的主持人们从播报内容到口气、表情都是支持学生的。中共六四开枪镇压学生市民后，所有的主播，包括罗京、李瑞英都穿黑色丧服出镜。但经过共产党的整肃后，罗京等马上变了脸，”旗帜鲜明”的支持”党中央平定反革命暴乱”。
1999年镇压法轮功后，罗京更是中共最重要的喉舌。从7月20日后对法轮功的新闻攻势，到后几年大量污蔑法轮功的虚假消息等他都是主播之一。
